Travel Updates

Unless you are a New Zealand Citizen or Australian living in New Zealand, you need a vaccination certificate to enter New Zealand. The certificate needs to be a digital vaccine certificate or another form of electronic or paper document from a government health authority or approval authority confirming you have had a full COVID-19 vaccine course.

The certificate needs to contain your name, the name of the vaccine or vaccines you received, the name of the agency that administered them, the name of the place where you received them and the date of each dose or the date when a primary vaccination course was completed.

Pre-flight covid tests

None are required for flights into New Zealand. However, you will be required to take a rapid antigen test on day 1 and 5 of the tour. Tests will be provided by us.

If you feel unwell on the trip

If you are feeling unwell at any stage of the tour, please let us know immediately and we will provide a rapid antigen test, which takes around 15 minutes to complete (you may need to do more than 1 test).

We will review the test and, if it is negative, we can look into options to get you medical attention if needed.

If you test positive, we will separate you and the person(s) sharing the same accommodation room and take you to an isolation facility at your cost such as a hotel and as per government guidelines to get a PCR test.

We stress the importance of travel insurance because of this and don’t want you to have costly bills from the accommodation and change of flights.

Do hotels accept people who are self-isolating?

Yes, you would be required to stay at the hotel you are currently at for the 7-day isolation period.

Would the rest of the tour be able to continue although they have been on the same coach as a person who has tested positive?

We will require everyone on the coach to take another rapid antigen test and return a negative result before continuing on the tour. This protects everyone on the tour.
